Adriann Barboa
County Commissioner, Bernalillo County District 3
As a single mom of two, Adriann is blessed to live in the home she grew up in, raised her kids in, and that her parents built on working class wages. Her father was a welder and her mother worked in a local factory. Though sometimes they struggled, they always had what they needed. In 1986, a clothing factory near their house closed down. Her father used the scrap metal to make wrought iron for their house and adorned it with an anchor. Living in that same house now, she is anchored in our communities and ready to serve!
Adriann currently serves as the Field Director at Forward Together, a national non-profit organization that put down roots in New Mexico as Strong Families New Mexico, leading work that builds rights, recognition, and resources for all families. She feels privileged to work alongside our communities every day to create meaningful change. As a county commissioner, Adriann looks forward to working with our communities to address our challenges and opportunities regarding public safety and healthcare.

Election Day is Tuesday, June 2, 2020
You can register to vote any time up to the Saturday before Election Day. (From NM SOS site: Same-Day Voter Registration: If you wish to register to vote or update your existing registration you can do so only at your County Clerk’s office until the Saturday before the Election. (Section 1-4-5.7 NMSA 1978).)
The safest way to get your absentee ballot counted is to turn it in in-person on May 29, 30, 31 or Tuesday, June 2 to a polling place. Election Day polling sites will still be open for in person voting Tuesday June 2, 7am – 7pm. Please protect your self and your community by wearing a mask if able and keeping 6 feet away from other people.
